My new oak bed furniture smells ugly, like sweat! Help!
l bought a new bed head and footboard, oak hardwood with veneer, handrubbed
finish.Within a week l noticed a foul smell, like body sweat.It is
definately the wood because l put my nose to it,,,what can l do to get rid
of this smell? Will it eventually go away?Bed is 2 months old.
Get in contact with the people you bought the pieces from and
ask them what kind of finish they put on it. They may have used the wrong
product. I would definately let them know, and have them fix it if that is
the case.

Try wiping it down with a good, gentle cleaner or a bit of
dish-washing liquid and water. I am guessing it is the finish they put on
that is smelling. Then hit it with some Liquid Gold and see if that helps.
try using some murphys oil lemon scent and wipe them down with
it.
